EFFECTIVE 09.09.09, WE HAVE MOVED TO www.andersonkalang.com

Dear Anderson's Picturific followers, fans and viewers,

A huge thanks and appreciation to all of you for your continuous support and visits during the period of this blog launched since 2007. Before, when I was picking up photography on my point & shoot camera, the Canon IXUS 3.2mp and having the urge to snap & write, the blog was named "Scribbles & Pixels". In the midst of 2008, I went from secondary to primary photographer (Main Photographer) carrying a name for my own, known to you now as "Anderson's Picturific".

Along the way, I've encountered beautiful & memorable times capturing many moments digitally. To all the couples, individuals & event organizers that I've worked with, thank you for your unending belief & preference with Anderson's Picturific. Thank you for your friendship for you place me where I am today. The feeling of moving to a new house is just as similar to shifting to a new web hosting. This blog has witnessed many of my ramblings & exciting encounters therefore it has earned its sentimental value in my heart.

Glad to inform everyone too that effective September 2009, Anderson's Picturific has moved to Kuala Lumpur. Got ourselves a new place here. Though so, I'll be looking forward to cover events in Sabah & Sarawak anytime given the opportunity kay...

The journey is still long and the learning is never ending. I would like to convey my deepest appreciation to a fellow brother for his tireless effort in setting up the new platform for my photography journey. Anonymous as he intended to be, he has shifted the content of this blog to a better layout. Do be advised that upgrades on the new website will come gradually so do be prepared for changes kay!

So folks, with much love and happy thoughts of your continuous follow-ups and future business, as of today (09.09.09), Andersonkalang.Tk has now officially moved to www.andersonkalang.com..... See You At The New Website!!!

Kevin & Debbie's Portraiture - Grand Old Lady, Miri

Photobucket

Hi folks.. I intended to update this post for quite a while already but due to my shifting these past few weeks, I've kept the blog on silence again. Very sorry yah.. Why the shifting, well, I've moved to KL now.. Yes, you read that right! Anderson's Picturific is now KL based. I'll talk about KL more after this kay..

Anyway, this post is about Kevin & Debbie, whom I've came to know for few years back already. I thank Regina for the intro. Another good old friend who just went through her wedding two months back. So to begin with, on one fine bright sunny day, I receive a message from Debbie all the way from Labuan to arrange a pre-wedding session. As always, I'm thrilled to receive requests for pre-weddings & portraiture sessions. That's the time I get to 'direct' and pose people..hahahaha!! Unlike weddings, people direct my shooting angles la. You photographers out there should know what I mean. So, after a few more emails, this lovely couple flew down to Miri to get their pre-wedding shoot done. Location preferred, Miri's signature monument, the Grand Old Lady & the Petroleum Museum. Again, I got Jenn (my lovely wife) to carry my gears.. and this time, Philip, my primary school ex-classmate was my 'lightboy'. Yeah.. I just had to polish my CLS(Creative Lighting System) technique with the couple. Thanks you two!

To Kevin & Debbie, have a good time preparing for the big day kay... Make it a BLAST!!

So here you are folks, some picks from their fun set. Happy viewing!!

Kamarulzaman & Nadiah's Wedding - Miri

Photobucket

Hi all! Sometime earlier in June I've got the opportunity to photographed another malay wedding here in Miri. This time, it was Kamarulzaman & Nadiah's 'Bersanding' ceremony. They had their main wedding event in KL few weeks before and this time, its a celebration on the groom's side. Being the only boy among six siblings in the family, Kamarul had his job brought him to finally meet his 'jodoh' in Selangor. Yup, they met in the same organization. Started as friends, they came to realize their attraction towards each other, thus Kamarul made his serious approach for Nadiah.

Before Kamarul was posted to KL, we use to see each other coz we live in the same neighborhood here. Though not attending the same secondary school, I use to also hang out with his sister Shikin and the rest of the neighbors...'best bah mun ingat-ingat zaman skolah dolok oh..'

To Kamarulzaman & Nadiah, thank you for having me covering your event. Its a lovely experience seeing you both on the pelamin and cracking all those funny faces with your nieces & nephews. "Tahniah dari kami di Anderson's Picturific. Semoga berkekalan ke anak cucu... sekali ngan cicit juak lah!"

To all you Picturific fans out there, here are some highlights from their event. Enjoy...

Imperial Hotel, where Nadiah's family put up during their stay in Miri. From there, they proceed to Kamarul's home.

After cutting their wedding cake, a birthday cake suddenly appeared. It was for Kamarul's eldest sister whose birthday happen to fall on the same day. She didn't know coz the family planned a surprise for her. Talk about double celebration aei!

Its a local malay culture here to have the 'Nasi Temuan' session (Uniting Rice.. that's my direct translation ah) during weddings. The idea is to be the first to 'shove' the food into his/her partner's mouth. Its actually a funny scene to watch! I know I was very much entertained by this couple's expression.. :P

Wadid I tell yah!

Nadiah was very skillful in maneuvering her bouquet to block Kamarul's attack and simultaneously reached her fingers to Kamarul's mouth. Even Kamarul's mighty tongue, couldn't avoid Nadiah's ferocious encounter.

Next, the family had their 'family time' starting with Nadiah's family & Kamarul's family
